I consider myself as a careful person, yet the send button knocked me down yesterday :( I wish I could have set the date back, again this will never happen.
Apology dosent really work sometimes, and I cant avoid using that send button every time I love to tell somebody that I care about him or even dont care, or just to tell something that I need to say.
Yesterday, if I could tracked that email, I would have done that, if I could run after it in the keyboard cables or just avoiding that stupid mouse click, or if I could dive into the processor or jump in the network card I would have went further just to stop that message; but it was too late.
Lesson learnt: its several keyboard clicks, one mouse move or click and one button once done you cant retreat; read your emails twice before you send !!

And it was a Dish to Remember
And It Was A Dish To Remember
Since I arrived Sudan and I am eating either some Jung food or nice Iraqi dishes while invited by Iraqi friends in Sudan, I wish they could invite me everyday.
For the last two days there was no invitation L so I had to manage by myself, and that means either to eat in a restaurant or cook in my compartment! Why not everything is there! And this is how I decided to cook Tepsiee Bethenjaan or egg plant potage with meet and onion. And because it was Saturday I could go shopping everything as any experienced housewife –thanks to my wife and mom though they haven’t taught me how to prepare this dish, yet I recall how they were doing it.
Arrived at the Hotel and started early after noon, and guess what I finished before Maghreb prayer, extremely hungry I poured everything in couple of dishes and warmed up the bread; put some dates and juice and here it goes, nearby mosque announced Maghreb prayer, The Tepsiee Bethenjaan was just as good as any delicious dish that you could imagine, tasty and well cooked; the rice was just perfect and not to mention the dates or even the juice.
And it was a dish to remember ;)
Next day the Iraqi generosity didn’t disappoint me, yet I couldn’t really make it and I apologized cause I have many things do and just between us, and with all that success in my Tapsiee venture, I decided to cook beans and rice and guess what? it was a disastrous attempt lol.
Lesson I learned: success doesn’t rely on confidence only, it relays on believe as well, while success enforce your confidence it shouldn’t temper your believe and motto to work as hard as you did while cooking Tapsiee! ;)

Me and my Sudanies Dervish
Arrived Sudan in a business trip, yesterday after a lonely Eftaar and watching couple of TV programmes, I sat on my chair reading one of the books that I traveled with – I read a lot!
It was almost mid night, very quite streets and I heard as somebody is Singing or reading Quran, muted the TV and rushed to the window, opened it and started listening the voice. It was very nice, melodious and touching, a mix of an Arab and African rhythm, a blind Sufi who was walking alone with his stick, no one was in the street and no other voice could be heard but his fascinating recitation.
A spiritual breath overwhelmed the whole area; I found myself totally captivated by this charming and fascinating voice chanting around the area, walking just alone as they used to be always walking and facing this strange world alone, people call them Dervish and what is nice about the Dervishes is they maybe highly educated and well-known people but they dress very humbly and live as any poor guy live, they show no interest in life but to spend most of their time worshiping Allah and in total adoration and you may know after they die they were something very special and examples are just many in the Islamic history
I recalled the Sufi singers back home in Iraq who used to gather and sing occasionally, I personally adore listing to the Iraqi Sufi singings; -and I am not pro mysticism. I managed last year to get some CDs but they turned to be Syrian singers –not Iraqi.
Back to the mysticism in Sudan, they has a great followers in Sudan yet I don’t know which Sufi school they follow but I think I am going to explore this bet while I am here or at least buy a book before leaving Sudan.
The voice started fading and getting weaker and weaker and I couldn’t see that guy any more, I felt at that moment that I should have thanked him; he turned me from that loneliness moment to a cheerful one. The street turned empty and nobody else walked in, closed my window, and sat on the chair resumed reading my book hoping to write something in the morning about my late night visiting Dervish.
Lesson I learned: while you are lonely and don’t know what to do, there could be some one walking around that can add a value to that sad moment, you should open that window and see who is passing by.

Zainab Cant go to the Unversity
For the last month and in every call with my family in Mosul, Zainab's transport to the unversity was the key issue. Unv started almost a month ago and Zainab had no transport to commence her studay.
No fuel no safety and no one agrees to provide this service, the drivers who was driving her last year said enough i cant afford it anymore, and Zainab is in between waiting for a merical. She is in her last Unv year and I petty here alot because she didnt enjoy the Unv of Mosul the way I did.
When I give it around of thinking and ask myslef what dose it mean being in a school or Unv when you dont know when or where is the next bomb going to be, when your mother cant stop thinking about what would happen on the way to your class or even back home.
Million of questions that sometimes have one answer or dosent have at all, yet the unrevealed answer was on Zainab's face when I met her last summar, the answer was a silence that tells a lot and the smiley face that dosent stop telling you that there is a crime commited every singly second in the what was called Iraq.
Yet Zainab was happy with her Mobile set, as an Iraqi student is still an issue to have a mobile set, yet again she was happy and I was happy that we could afford buying her a mobile set, though many of her friend dosnt have one.
Certainly life is more compleceted in Iraq than having or not having a mobile, but as far as I am concerend and if that would keep the smile on her face then its a complecated issue NOT having a mobile.
Back to the unversity, three days ago my mother told on the phone that they finaly gota driver and Zainb is in the unversity again :)
